The organization is committed to fostering partnerships and mobilizing resources to help these countries achieve their development goals.

Job Overview:
The Social Media Intern position at OHRLLS is designed to provide a comprehensive learning experience in the field of communications and social media management within a prominent international organization. The internship is structured to last for two months, with the possibility of extension up to six months, depending on departmental needs. Interns will engage in a variety of tasks that will enhance their understanding of digital communication strategies and the role of social media in promoting international development issues. The position is primarily in-person at the New York duty station, but there is flexibility for remote work arrangements based on the intern's circumstances. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain practical experience in a dynamic and impactful environment, contributing to the UN's mission of supporting vulnerable nations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Interns will be involved in a range of activities that support the office's communication efforts. Key responsibilities include brainstorming innovative ways to communicate the office's work on digital platforms, staying updated on the latest trends in content creation, and advising colleagues on maintaining fresh and relevant social media channels. Interns will assist in producing new content for the office's websites and monitor other organizational channels to share best practices. They will also help implement social media activities aimed at promoting priority issues and major events. Daily tasks may involve community management, monitoring OHRLLS's global social platforms, and producing social media assets, including graphics and videos.
