Job Overview: The Youth Years Leader (Europe) will spearhead Ashoka's initiatives across Europe to reform educational institutions, ensuring that every young person graduates with mastery of essential changemaking skills. This role involves creating strategic partnerships with various stakeholders, including ministries of education, public school systems, teacher unions, and educational publishers. The leader will work to influence education systems and youth-focused media to prioritize changemaking in curricula and teaching materials. Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead Ashoka's efforts to reform educational institutions across Europe to prioritize changemaking skills.
Establish strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, including ministries of education, public school systems, and teacher unions.
Collaborate with educational publishers and teacher training schools to integrate changemaking into curricula and teaching materials.
Utilize Ashoka's proven tools and programs, such as Ashoka Young Changemakers (AYC), to engage young people in changemaking initiatives.
Monitor and evaluate the impact of partnerships and educational reforms on youth changemaking.
Report progress to Ashoka's leadership and adapt strategies as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
Foster a collaborative environment among partners to co-create innovative educational models that support changemaking.
Strong understanding of educational systems and the ability to influence policy and practice.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain partnerships.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including government officials, educators, and young people.

Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in education, social sciences, international development, or a related field is required. A master's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant area is preferred. Candidates should have a strong academic background that demonstrates their ability to engage with complex social issues and educational reform.
Experience: Candidates should have at least 5-7 years of relevant experience in leadership roles, particularly in education or social entrepreneurship. Experience working with governmental and non-governmental organizations, as well as a track record of successful partnership development, is essential. Familiarity with changemaking concepts and practices is highly desirable.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory. Proficiency in additional European languages is a plus, as it will facilitate communication with diverse stakeholders across the continent.
Additional Notes: This is a full-time position based in London. The annual gross base salary ranges from £103,685 to £110,000, with flexibility based on skills and experience. The role includes a discretionary annual performance-based bonus of up to 10% and discretionary Senior Leader Equity Pay. Employees receive 25 annual leave days (pro-rata) plus bank holidays, with options for flexible working arrangements. Additional benefits include occupational maternity and paternity pay, sick pay, a 3% employer pension contribution, and various flexible leave options.
