Job Overview: The Global Payments Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the Global Payments team, ensuring the efficient and accurate execution of global payment processes, systems, and technologies. This position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and support business operations, projects, and compliance efforts. The manager is expected to maintain a strong commitment to customer service and operational excellence while managing the distribution of work within the team. The role encompasses various responsibilities, including operational oversight, project support, work distribution, and compliance assurance, all aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of global payment services.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Operational Oversight: Ensure the efficient execution of global payments processes, focusing on credit card expenses, participant reimbursements, and accounts payable programs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of global payment services, emphasizing operational efficiency and strategic alignment.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements in global payments through critical thinking and risk assessment.
Partnerships: Build and maintain strategic partnerships with operations teams and internal counterparts to enhance service delivery.
Project Support: Provide input and expertise for business projects involving global payments, including planning and resource allocation.
Work Distribution: Manage task distribution within the Global Payments team to ensure balanced workloads and deadlines.
Performance Monitoring: Monitor team performance and provide feedback for continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or advanced degree with 7+ years of relevant experience or equivalent experience.
Ability to monitor and evaluate team performance effectively.

Excellent decision-making skills with a sense of urgency.
Proven critical thinking abilities to navigate complex environments.
Experience in supporting significant projects related to banking or credit card programs.

Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree or other advanced degree is required for this position, along with relevant experience in financial operations or a related field. The educational background should provide a solid foundation in financial principles and practices, enabling the candidate to effectively manage global payment processes and collaborate with various stakeholders.
Experience: Candidates should possess at least 7 years of experience in financial operations, project management, or a related field. Experience should include a demonstrated ability to manage complex payment processes, support significant projects, and ensure compliance with financial regulations. The candidate should also have a track record of effective team management and performance monitoring.
Languages: The position requires proficiency in English, as it is essential for communication with diverse stakeholders. Additional language skills may be beneficial but are not mandatory.
Additional Notes: This position is full-time and requires the candidate to be legally eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship. The salary range for this role is between $115,800 to $173,800 USD, with specific adjustments for high-wage markets like Seattle and Washington D.C., where the range is $126,200 to $189,400 USD. The organization emphasizes a balance between competitive pay and its mission-driven focus. New hires typically start within the range minimum and midpoint, depending on their skills and experience. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check.
