Job Overview:
The Electrician position involves the installation of solar PV-Hybrid power supply systems in Damascus, Syria. Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Electrician include:
  • Carrying out the installation of solar PV-Hybrid power supply systems, which involves: - Mounting solar PV panels on rooftops and ground-mounted structures. - Fabricating and constructing additional ground-mounted structures as needed. - Installing inverters, batteries, AC/DC junction boxes, panel boards, and monitoring systems inside the container control room. - Wiring and connecting solar PV panels, inverters, batteries, and other components to ensure proper functionality.
  • Lifting equipment weighing up to 40 kgs without assistance, demonstrating physical capability for the role.
  • Conducting testing and commissioning of the complete solar power systems to ensure they are operational and meet performance standards.
  • Performing other related functions as assigned by the UNTSO OGGD Supervisor, which may include troubleshooting and maintenance tasks.

Required Qualifications:
The required qualifications for this position include:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • A minimum of three years of practical experience in solar PV installation with a recognized organization or company is required.
  • Proficiency in using hand and electrical tools and equipment is essential.
  • Experience working at heights and on high-level structures is necessary for safety and operational effectiveness.
  • An advocate for safe and compliant work practices is desirable, indicating a commitment to workplace safety.
