Job Overview: The Economic Affairs Intern will be engaged in a variety of tasks that support the work of the Economic Cooperation and Trade Division. Duties and Responsibilities: The intern will be responsible for a range of duties, including but not limited to: assisting in the preparation of reports and documents related to economic cooperation and trade; conducting research on various economic topics and compiling data for analysis; supporting the organization of meetings, workshops, and conferences; engaging with stakeholders and contributing to discussions on economic policies; and providing administrative support to the Division as needed. Interns will also have the opportunity to participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for ongoing projects, enhancing their understanding of the Division's objectives and initiatives.
Required Qualifications: Applicants must meet one of the following qualifications at the time of application: enrollment in a graduate school program (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); enrollment in the final academic year of a first university degree program (Bachelor's level or equivalent); or possession of a university degree as defined above. Additionally, candidates should have an academic background in international relations, law" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">international law, economics, development studies, or related fields. A demonstrated interest in the work of the United Nations and a commitment to its ideals are essential. Proficiency in standard software applications and the ability to engage with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds are also required.
Educational Background: The position requires candidates to have an academic background relevant to the work of the Economic Cooperation and Trade Division. This includes fields such as international relations, economics, development studies, or related disciplines.
