Job Overview: The position of Specialist 'Key-User in Finance' is crucial in the context of digital transformation within GIZ. The organization is adapting its processes to remain efficient and capable of delivering results in a rapidly changing digital landscape. The role involves significant contributions to the IT project S4GIZ, which is a major change initiative aimed at creating an efficient and effective end-to-end digital process landscape. This transformation is not limited to the digitization of processes but also involves fundamental changes in workflows and adjustments to the organizational culture. The successful candidate will play a key role in the global rollout of the new S/4HANA system, particularly focusing on financial processes, ensuring that the organization meets its strategic goals for 2028.
Duties and Responsibilities: The duties of the Specialist include:
Actively participating in the implementation of S/4HANA with a focus on finance.
Serving as the first point of contact for SAP-related inquiries in financial accounting.
Actively shaping financial processes within the SAP-FI environment, from requirements gathering to concept development, testing, implementation, and optimization.
Supporting all finance staff to maximize the use of SAP-FI.
Acting as a liaison between process managers and internal technical SAP experts.
Ensuring that requirements are efficiently implemented in the S4GIZ project.
Contributing expertise as part of the project and rollout team during the global rollout of the new S/4HANA.
Collaborating closely with other S4GIZ sub-projects such as Purchase-to-Pay, Personnel, and Concur.
Required Qualifications: The required qualifications for this position include:
A completed degree in Business Administration, (Business) Informatics, or a commercial vocational training with several years of professional experience and relevant further training.
Excellent SAP knowledge as an SAP-FI Key User in a company with global structures or as an implementation consultant, along with experience in S/4HANA.
Several years of relevant professional experience in IT projects, successfully managed thanks to a high IT affinity and hands-on mentality.
A pragmatic working style characterized by diligence, structure, and goal orientation.
Strong teamwork skills with pronounced communication and presentation abilities.
Enjoyment of working in an international environment, tolerance for uncertainty, and strong cooperation skills, with the ability to act confidently in complex project contexts.
Negotiation-level German and fluent English skills.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a completed degree in Business Administration, (Business) Informatics, or a relevant commercial vocational training. Candidates should also have undergone further training that aligns with the responsibilities of the role, particularly in finance and IT.
Experience: Candidates should have several years of relevant professional experience, particularly in IT projects. This experience should demonstrate a high level of IT affinity and a hands-on mentality, indicating the ability to manage and complete projects successfully.
