The Social Media and Content Manager will play a crucial role in developing and executing the organization's social media strategy. The manager will be responsible for analyzing social media metrics to gauge the effectiveness of campaigns and make data-driven decisions to enhance outreach. Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with the organization's objectives.
  • Create, curate, and manage published content across various social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
  • Monitor social media channels for trends, feedback, and engagement opportunities, responding promptly to inquiries and comments.
  • Analyze social media metrics and prepare reports to assess the effectiveness of campaigns, making recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all digital platforms.
  • Stay updated on the latest social media trends and best practices, incorporating them into the organization's strategy.
  • Manage social media advertising campaigns, including budget allocation and performance tracking.
  • Organize and participate in promotional events and campaigns to enhance the organization's visibility and engagement.

Required Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in social media management and content creation.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and their respective audiences.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in social media analytics tools and content management systems.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills to develop innovative content strategies.

Educational Background:
A bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field is required. Additional certifications in social media management or digital marketing are a plus.

Experience:
A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in social media management or content creation is required. Experience in a similar role within a non-profit or international organization is highly desirable.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory. Proficiency in Swahili or other local languages is considered an advantage, as it enhances communication with diverse audiences.
