Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with the organization's objectives.
Create, curate, and manage published content across various social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
Monitor social media channels for trends, feedback, and engagement opportunities, responding promptly to inquiries and comments.
Analyze social media metrics and prepare reports to assess the effectiveness of campaigns, making recommendations for improvement.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all digital platforms.
Stay updated on the latest social media trends and best practices, incorporating them into the organization's strategy.
Manage social media advertising campaigns, including budget allocation and performance tracking.
Organize and participate in promotional events and campaigns to enhance the organization's visibility and engagement.
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience in social media management and content creation.
Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in social media management or content creation is required. Experience in a similar role within a non-profit or international organization is highly desirable.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory. Proficiency in Swahili or other local languages is considered an advantage, as it enhances communication with diverse audiences.
Additional Notes: This position is full-time and based in Nairobi, Kenya. The organization is open to recruiting nationally and internationally, offering a competitive salary and benefits package. The role may involve occasional travel for events and campaigns.
