Job Overview:
The Regional Partnership Development Advisor will play a crucial role in identifying, developing, and managing partnerships that align with the organization's strategic objectives in Africa. This position requires a deep understanding of the regional landscape, including socio-economic factors, political dynamics, and cultural contexts. The advisor will be responsible for engaging with various stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and private sector entities, to foster collaborative efforts that drive sustainable development initiatives. The role also involves conducting research and analysis to inform partnership strategies and ensure alignment with the organization's mission and goals. The advisor will be expected to represent the organization at regional forums and contribute to policy discussions that influence partnership development.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Identify and assess potential partnership opportunities that align with the organization's strategic goals in Africa.
  • Develop and implement partnership strategies that enhance collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination among partners to ensure effective implementation of joint initiatives.
  • Conduct regular assessments of partnership effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on partnership activities and outcomes for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Represent the organization at regional meetings, conferences, and workshops to promote partnership initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align partnership efforts with programmatic objectives.
  • Monitor trends and developments in the region that may impact partnership opportunities and strategies.

Required Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in partnership development, stakeholder engagement, and project management.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a multicultural environment.
  • Proficiency in using digital tools and platforms for communication and collaboration.

Educational Background:
A bachelor's degree in international relations, development studies, business administration, or a related field is required. A master's degree in a relevant discipline is preferred and may be considered an asset.

Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in partnership development, preferably within the African context. Experience working with international organizations, NGOs, or government agencies is highly desirable.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory. Proficiency in French or other African languages is considered an asset and will be advantageous in engaging with diverse stakeholders.
