Job Overview:
The GS Finance Manager position is crucial for overseeing the financial operations within the organization. Duties and Responsibilities:

Required Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in financial management, preferably within an international organization or NGO.
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.

Educational Background:
A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field is required. A master's degree or professional certification (such as CPA or ACCA) is highly desirable and may be preferred for this position.

Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting is required, with at least 2 years in a managerial role. Experience in an international or multi-cultural environment is an advantage, as is familiarity with UN financial regulations and practices.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory. Knowledge of additional languages, particularly French or Spanish, is considered an asset and may enhance the candidate's profile.
