Job Overview: The Head of Fundraising will play a pivotal role in shaping the fundraising strategy of the organization, ensuring that it aligns with the overall mission and objectives. Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy that aligns with the organization's mission and goals.
Identify and cultivate relationships with potential donors, including individuals, corporations, and foundations.
Lead the fundraising team in executing fundraising campaigns and initiatives.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of fundraising activities and adjust strategies as necessary.
Prepare and present fundraising reports to the senior management team and board of directors.
Collaborate with program teams to ensure that fundraising efforts are aligned with programmatic needs.
Organize fundraising events and initiatives to engage the community and raise awareness about the organization's work.
Stay informed about fundraising trends and best practices to enhance the organization's fundraising capacity.

Provide training and support to staff and volunteers involved in fundraising activities.
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience in fundraising, with a track record of securing significant donations and grants.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and manage a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Knowledge of fundraising software and tools.
Familiarity with the non-profit sector and understanding of the challenges and opportunities in fundraising.
Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as nonprofit management, business administration, or communications is required. A master's degree or equivalent experience in fundraising or a related field is preferred.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in fundraising or resource mobilization, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. Experience working in the non-profit sector, particularly in a similar context, is highly desirable.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory. Knowledge of Swahili or other local languages is an advantage, as it can enhance communication with local stakeholders and communities.
