Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and implement knowledge management strategies that align with UNDP's climate and security risk objectives.
Facilitate the collection, analysis, and dissemination of knowledge related to climate risks and security challenges.
Collaborate with project teams to identify knowledge needs and ensure that relevant information is accessible to stakeholders.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of knowledge management initiatives and make recommendations for improvement.
Create and maintain a repository of knowledge products, including reports, case studies, and best practices.
Engage with external partners and stakeholders to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange on climate and security issues.
Required Qualifications:
Strong understanding of knowledge management principles and practices, particularly in the context of climate change and security.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
Proficiency in using knowledge management tools and platforms, including digital collaboration tools.
Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment and engage with diverse stakeholders.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to synthesize information from various sources.
Educational Background: A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as environmental science, international relations, knowledge management, or a related discipline is required. A master's degree is preferred and may be considered an asset for this position.
Experience: Candidates should have at least 1-2 years of relevant experience in knowledge management, climate change, or security-related fields.
