Job Overview: The HR Senior Assistant - Recruitment Support Services is based in Nairobi, Kenya, and operates under the direct supervision of the HR Officer - Recruitment Support Services. This role is pivotal in administering and implementing HR recruitment support services across the organization. The HR Senior Assistant collaborates closely with Programme, Project, and Support Services colleagues to manage UNOPS and partner personnel globally, ensuring consistent service delivery in recruitment processes. The position requires a client-oriented approach, adherence to governing rules and regulations for HR management, and the ability to monitor recruitment plans and KPIs effectively. The role is essential for maintaining high-quality work and timely service delivery in recruitment support to field offices.
Duties and Responsibilities: The HR Senior Assistant's duties include providing administrative support to HR Associates during various stages of the recruitment process, such as creating vacancy announcements, coordinating interview schedules, conducting background checks, and preparing recruitment files. The role also involves maintaining communication with clients, ensuring timely updates on recruitment cases, and supporting process improvements and HR knowledge-building initiatives. The HR Senior Assistant is responsible for inputting and updating data to institutionalize knowledge, assisting with recruitment-related projects, and contributing to corporate HR initiatives. Additionally, the position requires the delivery of training and learning initiatives on recruitment topics, ensuring the overall efficiency of the team's administrative services, and enhancing client satisfaction.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must have a minimum of five years of progressive experience in international or national organizations, specifically in recruitment support or HR generalist services. Proficiency in computer and office software packages, as well as experience with web-based management systems, is required. The role demands a strong understanding of HR processes and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards of service delivery.
Educational Background: Completion of secondary education is required, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, or equivalent disciplines preferred. A Bachelor’s degree may substitute for required work experience, allowing candidates with less experience to qualify for the position.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of five years of relevant experience in providing recruitment support and HR services.
