Job Overview: The Internship Programme at FAO aims to attract talented young individuals who are motivated to share their innovative ideas and academic experiences in the fields related to FAO's work. Interns will have the opportunity to supplement their academic knowledge with practical work assignments, contributing to the UN Sustainable Development Goals and FAO's Strategic Framework for the 2030 Agenda. Duties and Responsibilities: Interns will perform various functions as specified in the Terms of Reference (TOR) prepared by the hiring office. They will be assigned to different fields of work based on their profiles and the needs of the organization. Responsibilities may include conducting research, assisting in project implementation, participating in meetings, and contributing to reports and presentations. Interns are expected to collaborate with team members and contribute to the overall goals of the organization while gaining valuable experience in their respective fields.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must be enrolled in or have recently graduated from an undergraduate or graduate degree programme at a recognized educational institution. They should specialize in a field relevant to FAO's mission and work. A working knowledge of at least one FAO language (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, or Spanish) is required, and knowledge of a second FAO language is considered an asset.
