Job Overview:
The Protection from Violence Coordinator is responsible for implementing NRC's protection program in the Dori area. This role involves managing protection teams across various intervention zones, ensuring capacity building and knowledge transfer within the team. The coordinator will identify priority protection issues, guide protection interventions, and develop specific protection activities, promoting an adequate humanitarian response for those affected by crises and forced displacement. The position requires a strategic approach to project implementation, ensuring high-quality technical standards and synergy with other core competencies. The coordinator will also engage with key protection actors and provide high-quality analyses of the humanitarian situation, positioning NRC as an effective voice on protection and humanitarian principles.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Protection from Violence Coordinator include: 1. Hierarchical management of the protection team in collaboration with the Area Manager. 2. Technical management of the protection team, ensuring adherence to best practices. 3. Contributing to the development of country strategies and protection frameworks. 4. Initiating and participating in the design of relevant protection projects and activities. 5. Implementing protection projects in accordance with strategies, proposals, plans, and budgets. 6. Ensuring high technical quality of projects and fostering synergies with other core competencies. 7. Addressing both programmatic and policy issues in protection interventions. 8. Leading the development of alliances with key protection stakeholders. 9. Providing high-quality analyses of the humanitarian situation and articulating concerns related to protection issues. 10. Liaising with government officials, humanitarian/development actors, and civil society. 11. Supporting program staff and partners in integrating protection into all aspects of NRC's programming. 12. Providing technical guidance and support for project implementation to Area Managers and field protection teams. 13. Participating in coordination mechanisms with donors, government, and relevant clusters. 14. Extracting key lessons from protection program implementation and integrating them into program and staff development processes. 15. Managing performance and development of protection staff. 16. Providing regular reports to the Area Manager on project implementation, including recommendations for improvements. 17. Fostering a culture of management and a work environment that aligns with NRC's values and leadership framework.

Required Qualifications:
The required qualifications for the Protection from Violence Coordinator position include: 1. A university degree (Bac + 3) in social sciences or a related field. 2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in protection within a humanitarian context. 3. Experience working in complex and volatile environments. 4. Technical expertise in psychosocial-support" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">psychosocial support, community protection, protection monitoring, and response, as well as case management. 5. Documented results related to the responsibilities of the position. 6. Knowledge of personal competencies and leadership profile. 7. Proficiency in French, both written and spoken.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a university degree in social sciences or a related field, which provides the foundational knowledge necessary for understanding the complexities of humanitarian protection work.

Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in protection within humanitarian settings. Languages:
The mandatory language for this position is French, which must be spoken and written fluently. Knowledge of additional languages may be considered an asset, particularly if they are relevant to the local context or the populations served.
