Job Overview: The position of Stagiaire Finance at NRC is designed to provide support to the finance team while offering a valuable learning opportunity for recent graduates. The intern will be based in Dori, Burkina Faso, and will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with NRC's financial policies, tools, and procedures. Duties and Responsibilities: The Stagiaire Finance will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to: ensuring adherence to NRC's financial policies and procedures; supporting the implementation of financial activities according to the work plan; maintaining and organizing financial and administrative documents; ensuring confidentiality and integrity in handling financial information; organizing both physical and digital archiving of accounting documents; preparing supporting documents for transactions such as invoices and receipts; assisting in the entry of accounting records into the Agresso system; helping the finance assistant in verifying the compliance of documents according to NGO and donor procedures; participating in the preparation of documents for internal and external audits; and providing occasional support to other departments such as logistics and HR in their financial tasks as needed.
Required Qualifications: Candidates for the Stagiaire Finance position should possess a minimum of a BAC+2 degree in Administration, Finance, Accounting, Audit, Control, or related fields. A basic understanding of accounting principles is essential, along with proficiency in computer tools. The ideal candidate should demonstrate discretion, rigor, patience, and strong analytical skills. Adaptability to various sociocultural contexts, organizational skills, and the ability to manage priorities effectively are also crucial. Strong teamwork and communication skills are necessary to thrive in this role.
