Job Overview:
As the Chief of Party for the Global Fund Malaria Program in the Republic of Congo, you will be responsible for providing leadership and overall management of the program. This role requires a strong focus on ensuring high-quality programming and advancing CRS's position as a leading agency in malaria prevention and treatment. You will be expected to manage security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security risks proactively and ensure that the project meets donor expectations in terms of timely and quality results. Your leadership will also involve coordinating with various stakeholders, including government agencies and local partners, to implement comprehensive malaria prevention and health systems strengthening activities across the country.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Your primary responsibilities will include leading the development, implementation, and consolidation of the Global Fund project, ensuring it aligns with industry thought leadership. You will serve as the main point of contact for the Global Fund and other stakeholders, ensuring compliance with donor expectations and CRS program quality standards. You will manage senior programming and operations talent, oversee staffing plans, and ensure adherence to safety and security policies. Additionally, you will promote efficient use of agency resources, manage financial tracking and oversight, and develop communication strategies that comply with donor requirements. You will also create a conducive learning environment, identify training opportunities, and ensure high-quality training and technical assistance for CRS and partner staff.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Master's degree in International Development, Public Health, or a relevant technical area, with a PhD or Medical degree preferred. A minimum of 7 years of relevant management and technical experience is required, including at least 5 years managing donor funds and multi-country grants. Strong knowledge and experience in budget management, along with 5 years of staff management experience, are essential. Experience in coaching senior program staff is also necessary.

Educational Background:
The position requires a Master's degree in a relevant field such as International Development or Public Health. A PhD or Medical degree is preferred, indicating a high level of expertise in the field.

Experience:
The ideal candidate should have at least 7 years of relevant management and technical experience, with a strong background in managing donor funds and multi-country grants. Experience in staff management and the ability to foster a learning environment are crucial for this role.

Languages:
Excellent oral and written French language skills are mandatory, while working-level competence in English is desired. This bilingual capability is essential for effective communication with stakeholders and team members.

Additional Notes:
The position is full-time and involves supervisory responsibilities for four direct reports, including the Deputy Chief of Party and other key project managers. The role may require travel up to 25% of the time.
