Job Overview:
The Assistant Economic Affairs Officer plays a crucial role in supporting the work of the Debt and Development Finance Branch. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Assistant Economic Affairs Officer will have a variety of responsibilities, including:
  • Economic and/or sector analysis: Collecting, evaluating, and interpreting socio-economic data; maintaining databases; preparing briefing notes and analytical studies; organizing expert group meetings and seminars.
  • Intergovernmental support: Assisting in the preparation of reports for intergovernmental bodies; organizing panels and round tables on debt and development finance.
  • Technical cooperation: Compiling and analyzing data for technical cooperation project proposals; preparing documentation for technical cooperation programs; monitoring and assessing the implementation of projects.
  • General duties: Performing administrative tasks necessary for the delivery of the Branch’s services; participating in training activities. The officer will also be expected to demonstrate professionalism, effective communication, and teamwork in all aspects of their work.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess an advanced university degree (master’s degree or equivalent) in economics, law" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">international law, or a related field. Alternatively, a first-level university degree combined with two years of qualifying experience may be accepted. The role requires knowledge of economic theories, data collection methods, and the ability to conduct research and analysis. Educational Background:
An advanced university degree in economics, international law, or a related field is required for this position. A first-level university degree may be accepted if accompanied by two years of qualifying experience. Experience:

However, candidates with a first-level university degree must have two additional years of qualifying work experience. Languages:
