Job Overview:
The position of Coordinateur/trice des Finances Pays involves defining, coordinating, and overseeing the implementation and management of financial strategies, policies, internal controls, and overall financial administration within the mission. The position is based in Bangui, Central African Republic, and is expected to start on December 2, 2024, with a contract duration of 12 months. The role requires active participation in the leadership team to define mission objectives and strategies, ensuring that financial needs are anticipated and addressed effectively.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Coordinateur/trice des Finances Pays include:
  • Strategy and Budget: Actively participate in defining mission objectives and strategies, planning, implementing, and monitoring financial, operational, and budgetary needs. Define the financial strategy of the mission, assess and mitigate financial risks, and provide regular indicators to track the financial situation.
  • Accounting and Treasury: Ensure effective and accurate accounting processes, manage cash flow efficiently, and ensure compliance with INTERSOS policies and donor procedures.
  • Administration and HR: Responsible for administrative and accounting documents, collaborate with HR for personnel-related administrative requirements, and oversee monthly and annual account closures.
  • Personnel Management: Manage, supervise, and develop the finance team, ensuring their training and motivation.
  • Logistics: Collaborate with the logistics coordinator to ensure proper procurement processes.

Required Qualifications:
The required qualifications for this position include a higher education degree (Bac+4/5) in Economics or Finance, proven knowledge in computer skills (Word, Excel, Finance DB, and Internet), and a strong understanding of financial management principles. Candidates should demonstrate strategic vision, leadership, teamwork, flexibility, and a commitment to INTERSOS principles.

Educational Background:
Candidates must possess a higher education degree (Bac+4/5) in Economics or Finance. This educational background is essential for understanding the complexities of financial management in humanitarian contexts and for effectively leading financial operations within the organization.

Experience:
Candidates should have at least four years of experience in budget management and team management, with prior experience in NGOs operating in developing countries, particularly in emergency contexts.
