Job Overview: The Digital Marketing Assistant will support the fundraising department, specifically in executing ALIMA's online fundraising plan. This role involves graphic design and the dissemination of digital marketing content to engage existing donors and attract new ones. The assistant will coordinate with the content creation team, manage online donation platforms, and ensure effective tracking of fundraising campaigns. Additionally, the assistant will contribute to performance reporting and assist in managing marketing campaigns and projects, including digital events and lead recruitment efforts. The position requires a proactive approach to identifying new fundraising tools and trends in digital marketing.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Graphic Design and Digital Marketing Content Creation: Create visual materials for digital marketing campaigns, including emails and display banners. Coordinate with the content team to ensure timely production of marketing materials.
Management of Online Donation Platforms: Ensure the functionality of online donation platforms, create donation pages, and track campaign performance.
Reporting and Activity Monitoring: Assist in measuring the performance of fundraising campaigns and updating key performance indicators (KPIs).
Support for Marketing Campaigns: Assist in managing lead recruitment campaigns and fundraising efforts, including liaising with external agencies and organizing digital events.
Market Research: Conduct ongoing research on new fundraising tools and digital marketing trends to enhance ALIMA's fundraising strategies.
Required Qualifications: Candidates should possess a strong motivation for humanitarian work, excellent interpersonal skills, and a keen interest in writing. Proficiency in graphic design using Adobe Suite or Canva is essential, along with familiarity with digital marketing concepts. Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively are crucial, especially in urgent situations. Knowledge of HTML is a plus, and candidates should be comfortable using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
Educational Background: A minimum of a Bac + 3/5 degree in Digital Marketing, Communication, or a related field is required for this position. Candidates should have a solid understanding of digital marketing principles and practices.
Experience: While specific experience is not mandated, familiarity with digital marketing and fundraising practices is highly desirable. Internships or academic projects related to marketing or communication will be beneficial.
Languages: Fluency in written and spoken French is mandatory, with an intermediate level of English being desirable. Strong communication skills in both languages will enhance the candidate's effectiveness in this role.
Additional Notes: This position is a 6-month internship, with or without an internship agreement. The start date is as soon as possible, and candidates will receive internship compensation.
