Job Overview:
The IT Project Management Intern will work under the supervision of the Enterprise and Solutions Architect within the Information Management Services Section of the ICC. This role is designed for individuals who are in the early stages of their professional careers and are looking to gain practical experience in project management within an IT context. The intern will assist in various project management tasks, including updating project documentation, organizing meetings, and drafting communications. This position offers a unique opportunity to learn about the intersection of technology and international justice, as well as to contribute to the Court's mission of accountability and justice.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern will be responsible for supporting the following tasks:
  • Updating project documents such as project plans, issues lists, and risk registers.
  • Organizing and participating in project meetings, ensuring that all relevant stakeholders are engaged.
  • Following up on action items and updating the Action List to ensure project progress.
  • Drafting meeting minutes and project communications to keep all parties informed.
  • Assisting with technical architecture development and requirements elicitation.
  • Supporting the technical configuration of tools used in project management.
  • Performing any other duties assigned by the supervisor, which may include involvement in other areas of the IT environment depending on the intern's interests and availability.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must have a degree or be in the final stages of their studies at a recognized university, with a strong academic record. A background in IT or Project Management is preferred but not mandatory. The ideal candidate should demonstrate a service-oriented attitude, adaptability to multicultural environments, strong teamwork skills, and proficiency in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office. A results-oriented mindset and a willingness to go the extra mile are essential for success in this role.

Educational Background:
Candidates should possess a degree or be nearing completion of their studies in a relevant field, such as Information Technology, Project Management, or a related discipline. Academic performance should be strong, reflecting the candidate's capability to handle the responsibilities of the internship effectively.

Experience:
While practical experience is not a prerequisite for selection, any relevant experience that aligns with the work of the ICC will be considered an asset. The internship is aimed at individuals who are at the beginning of their professional journey, thus emphasizing the importance of potential and willingness to learn over extensive prior experience.

Languages:
Proficiency in English is mandatory for this position, as it is one of the working languages of the Court. A working knowledge of French is desirable, and knowledge of another official language of the Court, such as Arabic, Chinese, Russian, or Spanish, is considered an asset. This multilingual environment requires effective communication skills across different languages.

Additional Notes:
The internship is full-time and has a contract duration of six months, with specific dates to be agreed upon prior to commencement. The ICC does not provide remuneration for interns, nor does it reimburse expenses incurred during the internship. Therefore, applicants should be prepared to support themselves financially throughout the duration of their placement.
