Job Overview:
The Cleaner position is crucial for maintaining a hygienic and orderly environment within the office premises. The role involves performing a variety of cleaning tasks under the supervision of the Administration Officer. The Cleaner is expected to uphold high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, ensuring that all office areas are well-kept and presentable. This position requires attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean workspace, which is essential for the overall productivity and well-being of the staff. The Cleaner will work approximately 3 hours per day during working days, contributing to the overall maintenance of the office environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Cleaner is responsible for a comprehensive range of cleaning duties, which include:
- Detailed cleaning of office areas, including mopping and vacuuming floors, dusting furniture, equipment, and partitions.
- Emptying wastebaskets and recyclables and disposing of them in designated areas.
- Thorough cleaning of toilets, including washing and disinfecting sinks and floors, polishing metalwork, and replenishing toilet supplies as needed.
- Maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area, including cleaning facilities, equipment, appliances, and floors.
- General cleaning of stairways, corridors, balconies, and surrounding areas of the office premises.
- Washing windows, door panels, and partitions as required.
- Performing basic gardening activities as necessary.
- Reporting maintenance requirements to the supervisor.
- Carrying out any other reasonable duties as assigned that align with the scope of services.
Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess secondary school education as a minimum requirement. Additionally, experience in cleaning services is essential for this role. The ability to follow instructions and maintain a high standard of cleanliness is critical. Candidates should demonstrate reliability and a strong work ethic, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position is secondary school education. This level of education ensures that candidates have the basic literacy and numeracy skills necessary to perform the cleaning tasks effectively and follow any instructions provided by the supervisor.
Experience:
Candidates are required to have prior experience in cleaning services. This experience is vital as it equips the candidate with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform the cleaning duties efficiently and to a high standard. Familiarity with cleaning products and equipment is also beneficial.
