Job Overview:
The position of Registry within the ICC is crucial for the effective management and operation of the Court's facilities, particularly in the area of electrical infrastructure. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the safety and functionality of the Court's electrical systems, which are vital for the Court's operations. This role requires a proactive approach to maintenance and emergency response, as well as collaboration with contractors and other units within the General Services Section. The successful candidate will be expected to provide technical expertise, manage electrical installations, and ensure compliance with safety standards. The role also involves planning for future electrical needs and managing resources efficiently to support the Court's mission.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The incumbent will perform a variety of tasks under the supervision of the Hard Services Coordinator, including but not limited to: providing immediate response during emergencies at the Court premises; representing the Court as a technical expert; planning and implementing maintenance and repairs to the electrical infrastructure; overseeing the installation of new electrical systems; maintaining records of installations and correspondence; calculating electrical loads for new requirements; managing day-to-day operations of major electrical installations; conducting planned maintenance of generators and UPS units; assessing electrical infrastructure for field offices; being available for 24/7 call-outs; reviewing contractor reports; preparing specifications for electrical equipment; managing electrical inventories; preparing Requests for Proposals or Quotations; controlling work quality; updating CAD records; carrying out repairs as needed; taking monthly electricity meter readings; monitoring installations; analyzing consumption fluctuations; maintaining records for budgeting; and supporting the Hard Services Coordinator in their absence.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Secondary Education Diploma and a national qualification in electrical installations (e.g., City and Guilds, NEN). A minimum of 6 years of hands-on professional experience in facility electrical installations is required. Experience in the maintenance and operation of a wide range of electrical equipment and systems is essential, along with knowledge of electric safety norms and application (EU/Dutch standards). Proficiency in MS Office applications is required, and familiarity with building information systems is desirable. Proven experience in dealing with contractors and sub-contractors is also necessary.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a Secondary Education Diploma, along with a national qualification in electrical installations. An advanced or first-level university degree may be considered as a substitute for two years of working experience only to determine eligibility for the role.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 6 years of hands-on professional experience in facility electrical installations. Candidates should have demonstrated experience in the utilization, maintenance, and upkeep of various electrical systems and equipment. Experience with electric safety norms and standards, particularly those applicable in the EU and the Netherlands, is also required. Candidates should be adept at managing contractors and have a solid understanding of electrical infrastructure management.

Languages:
An acceptable level of reading, writing, and spoken English is essential for this role. A working knowledge of French is desirable, and knowledge of another official language of the Court (Arabic, Chinese, Russian, or Spanish) would be considered an asset, enhancing the candidate's profile for this position.

This position is a fixed-term appointment with a minimum net annual salary of €47,07
  • The initial contract duration is for two years, with a six-month probationary period and the possibility of extension. Recruitment for this post is conducted on a local basis, meaning that candidates must meet relevant employment and immigration requirements in the Netherlands.
