Job Overview:
The position of Responsable Logistique et Finance is crucial for the effective management of administrative, accounting, financial, and logistical operations within the organization. Reporting to the field coordinator, the individual in this role will ensure compliance with donor procedures and the internal regulations of Solidarités International. The role involves organizing logistical and administrative support for programs, overseeing financial and logistical procedures, and supervising all logistical activities of the mission. The candidate will assist the field coordinator, community mobilizer, and EHA program manager in implementing distribution activities on the ground while adhering to safety regulations. The position is based in Nantes and is expected to address the challenges of managing both logistical and administrative functions, prioritizing tasks, and managing donor payments and invoicing.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities of the Responsable Logistique et Finance include:
  • Managing administrative, accounting, and financial operations in accordance with SI and donor procedures.
  • Organizing logistical support for programs, ensuring that all logistical needs are met efficiently.
  • Supervising all logistical activities of the mission, including procurement, inventory management, and transportation.
  • Assisting in the implementation of distribution activities on the ground, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation, including tracking expenditures and preparing financial reports.
  • Collaborating with local partners and stakeholders to enhance the effectiveness of interventions.
  • Providing training and support to team members on financial and logistical procedures.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of logistical operations and making recommendations for improvements.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a strong background in financial management, humanitarian logistics, or accounting. They should demonstrate proficiency in logistical and financial management, with a solid understanding of donor regulations and compliance. Familiarity with financial software and tools, particularly Excel, is essential. Experience with SAGA and LINK software is considered an asset. Candidates should also exhibit strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work autonomously, and the capacity to prioritize tasks effectively.

Educational Background:
A degree in financial management, humanitarian logistics, or accounting is required for this position. Candidates should have a solid educational foundation that equips them with the necessary skills to manage financial and logistical operations effectively.

Experience:
The position requires 0-2 years of experience in the humanitarian sector, with a preference for candidates who have held similar roles in the past. Experience in logistical and financial management within a humanitarian context is highly desirable.

Languages:
Fluency in French is mandatory for this position. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset but is not required.

Additional Notes:
The contract is set to begin on January 20, 2025, and will be for a duration of one year, with the potential for a permanent contract to be defined later. The position is full-time and based in Nantes. The salary for this position starts at EUR 2865 gross per month, depending on experience.
