Job Overview:
The position of Stage Assistante Supply involves assisting the supply officers in the Logistics Department with tasks related to purchasing and supply for both field operations and headquarters. The intern will play a crucial role in managing stock, supporting international procurement processes, and organizing transportation of materials. This internship is an opportunity to gain insight into the functioning of an NGO's headquarters and the relationship between the headquarters and field operations. The intern will also learn about donor requirements and their impact on SI's procedures, as well as the challenges faced in humanitarian procurement and supply management.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The intern will be responsible for several key missions: 1) Contributing to stock management by assisting supply officers with order management and international transport in accordance with SI procedures. This includes receiving stock requests, processing orders both physically and digitally, updating stock tracking tools, managing the flow of goods, and conducting regular inventories. 2) Supporting international procurement by managing purchase files, preparing orders, and handling DHL shipments. The intern will also provide occasional support to the team on international freight management. 3) Organizing transportation of materials by collaborating with various departments to improve departure schedules, preparing transport and customs documents, and archiving administrative documents. The intern will gain hands-on experience in logistics and supply chain management within a humanitarian context.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates should have a background in international purchasing, international trade, or logistics, preferably at the Bac +3/+4/+5 level. A genuine interest and motivation for working in the humanitarian sector is essential. The ideal candidate should possess strong administrative and writing skills, good interpersonal skills, and a positive attitude. They should be organized, autonomous, adaptable, and capable of analytical thinking. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is required, along with fluent English language skills.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for this position includes a degree at the Bac +3/+4/+5 level in fields such as international purchasing, international commerce, or logistics. This educational foundation will provide the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively contribute to the supply chain and procurement processes within the organization.

Experience:
While specific prior experience may not be mandatory, candidates should demonstrate a strong interest in the humanitarian sector and a willingness to learn. Any previous internships or volunteer work in logistics, supply chain management, or related fields would be advantageous and viewed favorably.

Languages:
Fluent English is mandatory for this position. Knowledge of additional languages may be considered a plus, particularly if they are relevant to the regions where SI operates.

  • The intern will receive a stipend of 4.90 euros per hour, calculated based on actual hours worked. Transportation costs will be covered at 50% by SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL, and meal vouchers worth 8.90 euros per day will be provided, with a 60% contribution from the organization. The internship is mandatory and requires a formal internship agreement.
