Job Description
Under the supervision of the Deputy CountryDirector, you will be working closely with the Nutrition Cluster Coordinator, MoPH counter parts (PND), and the Strategic Advisory Group to provide overall leadership for the Nutrition Cluster in Afghanistan, and to facilitate the process of ensuring a coherent and effective emergency nutrition response by partners.
More specifically, your responsabilities are to:
Contribute to the cluster strategy design and responses planning
Coordinate the cluster activities in collaboration with all stakeholders
Monitor the nutrition partners activities
Advocate and mobilize resources for the implementation of nutrition cluster strategy
REQUESTED PROFILE
You hold a Masters degree in Nutrition, Public Health or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years field experience including 1 year in a coordination positions with an NGO, on managing integrated health, nutrition programs, and engaged with a cluster.
You have a significant understanding of the cluser mechanism structure, and have experience in working with several stakeholders.
You are service-minded in your support to the nutrition partners, but also persistent and firm in your commitment to strengthen quality of nutrition responses in country.
Your experience allows you to take initiative, operate with a high degree of independence, with a hands-on experience that you can bring to the cluster.
You have strong analytical skills and a full proficiency in spoken and written English
SPECIFIC CONDITIONS / SALARY
9 months fixed term contract under French legislation
Monthly gross salary from 2450 to 2800 EURupon experience
Monthly per diem and living allowance: 463EUR net, field paid
Monthly country allowance: 450EUR
16% of the gross monthly salary for pension insurance reimbursement for non-French citizens
Transportation and accommodation: Coverage of transportation costs and guest house
Medical coverage: 100% coverage of medical expenses and repatriation insurance
Leaves and RnR: 25 days of paid leaves per year, 20 RnR per year and 215 EUR at each RnR period
