Job Overview: The Staff Officer (Industrial Security) position at the Joint Warfare Centre is pivotal in ensuring the protection of NATO classified information in the context of industrial contracts. Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of the Staff Officer (Industrial Security) include ensuring the application of protective measures to prevent, detect, and recover classified information handled by industry in contracts. The officer will verify that facilities and contractors have been appropriately checked for their ability to protect NATO Classified Information (NCI). They will act as a liaison between the JWC Security Office, industry partners, and National Security Authorities (NSAs), facilitating security requirements. The officer will lead the management and development of classified project and industrial security procedures, ensuring compliance with NATO Personnel Security policy and directives. Additionally, they will maintain a personnel security database for industry partners, assist with administrative tasks related to security, investigate minor security breaches, and perform non-standard security administration tasks.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a University Degree in security administration, criminology, public administration, industrial security administration, law, contract management, procurement, accounting, or a related discipline. Alternatively, candidates with Higher Secondary education and advanced vocational training leading to a professional qualification or accreditation in a relevant field will also be considered. Professional experience is essential, with a minimum of four years in industrial security and classified contracts management, four years in business or office administration, two years in security policy development, and two years in managing classified information.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes a University Degree in relevant fields such as security administration, criminology, public administration, industrial security administration, law, contract management, procurement, or accounting. Candidates with higher secondary education and advanced vocational training leading to a professional qualification are also eligible. Experience: The ideal candidate should have a minimum of four years of experience in industrial security and classified contracts management, along with four years of experience in business or office administration. Additionally, two years of experience in security policy development and two years in the management of classified information are required. Languages: Proficiency in English at an upper intermediate to advanced level is mandatory for this position, as all work, both oral and written, is conducted primarily in English. Additional Notes: The position is full-time and offers a starting basic salary of NOK 93,933.00 per month, which is tax-free. Additional allowances may apply based on the personal circumstances of the successful candidate. The successful applicant will be offered a three-year definite duration employment contract, with the possibility of further contracts thereafter.
