Job Overview: The LogisticsTeam Leader position is crucial for the daily implementation of logistics management at the designated sub-office. The individual in this role will be responsible for overseeing the hierarchical management of logistics personnel, ensuring compliance with NRC policies, manuals, tools, and guidelines. The Logistics Team Leader will implement the delegated portfolio of activities in alignment with the action plan, monitor daily progress in executing activities, and prepare periodic follow-up reports and other documentation. The Logistics Team Leader is expected to optimize resource utilization, identify logistical needs, and facilitate planning meetings to ensure effective coordination between support staff and program employees.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Logistics Team Leader will have a comprehensive set of responsibilities, including but not limited to: ensuring effective collaboration and coordination between support staff and program employees; optimizing the use of logistical resources; identifying logistical needs; conducting planning meetings for movement; mobilizing employees for weekly coordination meetings; monitoring support costs at the sub-office and identifying solutions for any discrepancies; supervising the management of stock, assets, and transportation; and ensuring compliance with NRC's policies and procedures. The role also requires the preparation of periodic reports and documentation to track progress and facilitate communication with stakeholders.
Required Qualifications: Candidates for the Logistics Team Leader position should possess a range of professional skills and qualifications, including previous experience as a supervisor or manager in a logistics-related role, coordination experience in humanitarian contexts, and a proven track record of achieving results in similar responsibilities. Knowledge of the English language is considered an asset.
