Job Overview:
The Senior Fundraising Assistant (Database) position is a vital role within UNHCR's Private Sector Partnerships (PSP) team in Paris, France. This position is designed for a dynamic and motivated individual who is passionate about fundraising and has a strong interest in database management. The successful candidate will support the Database Associate in various daily tasks, including implementing fundraising campaigns, building data reports and analyses, and optimizing donor segmentation. The role also involves assisting with fundraising infrastructure migration projects, particularly related to e-commerce and database management. The position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to UNHCR's mission of raising funds and establishing partnerships with the private sector in Europe, thereby enhancing the organization's ability to respond to the needs of refugees and displaced persons.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Senior Fundraising Assistant (Database) will have a comprehensive set of responsibilities, including: supporting the Salesforce Database project through its various phases such as configuration, development, testing, and rollout; assisting in the documentation of new policies, procedures, and training materials related to the database; ensuring compliance with donor management requirements and data protection regulations, including CNIL and GDPR; performing regular data maintenance tasks, including importing and updating data from external sources and conducting data quality control; supporting the PSP France team with donor segmentation, data selection, and list exports; carrying out fulfillment and data entry operations resulting from outbound communication activities with donors; supporting fundraising performance analysis through the creation of reports, dashboards, and data extracts; collaborating with the Assoc. Fundraising Data Analyst Officer and Global Strategy and Analysis team on fundraising data reports and optimizing fundraising infrastructures; working closely with the PSP team and Database Support Associate to ensure successful integration with various tools and platforms; collaborating with HQ during tools migration projects; providing support and training to local users; and performing any other duties as required.

Required Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Senior Fundraising Assistant (Database) position should possess the following qualifications: a minimum of 2 years of relevant working experience combined with secondary education (high school diploma) or at least 1 year of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree or higher in data science, marketing, business, or a related field; knowledge and experience in database management and software, particularly for marketing and fundraising purposes; a highly motivated attitude with strong attention to detail; fluency in both French and English (written, oral, and comprehension); the ability to work independently as well as part of a team; excellent organizational skills; strong problem-solving and analytical skills; the ability to work under pressure; and a service-oriented attitude.

Educational Background:
Candidates should have a secondary education (high school diploma) as a minimum requirement, with a preference for those who hold a bachelor's degree or higher in fields such as data science, marketing, business, or related disciplines. This educational background is essential for understanding the complexities of database management and fundraising strategies.

Experience:
The position requires a minimum of 2 years of previous working experience relevant to the function, particularly in database management and fundraising. Alternatively, candidates with at least 1 year of relevant experience combined with a bachelor's degree or higher will also be considered. This experience should demonstrate the candidate's ability to manage data effectively and contribute to fundraising efforts.

Languages:
Fluency in French and English is essential for this position, encompassing written, oral, and comprehension skills. These language skills are crucial for effective communication within the team and with external stakeholders. While additional languages may be beneficial, they are not mandatory for this role.

Additional Notes:
The successful candidate will be based in UNHCR's office in Paris, France. This position is associated with a yearly contract, valid until the end of the year, with the possibility of renewal on an annual basis. It is a full-time role, with working hours from 9 AM to 6 PM, Monday to Friday, totaling 40 hours per week. The salary for this position will be in line with the local UN GS Salary scale.
