Job Overview:
The position of Senior Associate for Project Management Support (Justice Reform) is crucial for the successful implementation of the project aimed at strengthening the criminal justice system in Argentina. The role involves providing substantial support in the design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of activities related to the project. The Senior Associate will be responsible for ensuring that project activities are executed effectively, contributing to the capacity building of federal and provincial institutions in the prosecution of serious crimes, including drug trafficking and organized crime. This position requires a proactive approach to project management, with a focus on enhancing the operational and strategic capabilities of the justice system in Argentina.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Project Monitoring and Reporting: Support project coordination by monitoring programmatic activities, collecting and analyzing diagnostic information to identify existing capacities and institutional gaps, and preparing reports and documentation related to project activities.
  • Project Implementation Support: Assist the project leader in developing the annual work plan, support training activities, and contribute to the organization of workshops and technical assistance activities.
  • Operational Support and Inter-institutional Coordination: Maintain communication with counterparts and donors, coordinate technical organization of workshops and meetings, and support inter-institutional teams in achieving programmatic objectives.
  • Development of Tools and Methodologies: Organize and systematize plans, protocols, and technical documents derived from project activities, and document best practices and lessons learned.
  • Knowledge Development and Exchange: Organize training activities, participate in knowledge exchange initiatives, and contribute to the drafting of reports and knowledge products related to the project.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a secondary education with at least 7 years of relevant experience, or a university degree in Criminal Sciences, Law, or a related field with a minimum of 3 years of pertinent experience. Desirable qualifications include technical or postgraduate training in economic crimes, organized crime, or cybercrime. Candidates should demonstrate strong project management skills, experience in training and technical assistance, and proficiency in using productivity tools such as Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.

Educational Background:
Required: Secondary education with 7 years of relevant experience or a university degree in Criminal Sciences, Law, or equivalent with at least 3 years of relevant experience. Desirable: Technical, tertiary, university, or postgraduate training in economic crimes, organized crime, or cybercrime.

Experience:
Required: Experience in justice system areas, project support, training activities, technical assistance, and report preparation. Desirable: Experience in international cooperation, institutional strengthening projects, and coordination with authorities related to the prosecution of complex crimes.

Languages:
Fluent Spanish is required, and intermediate English is also required. Additional language skills may be beneficial but are not mandatory.

Additional Notes:
The contract is an Individual Contractor Agreement (ICA) with a regular support type, set to last until December 31, 2026, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and organizational needs.
