Job Overview:
The Vocational Training Instructor for Auto Body Repairing and Painting is responsible for designing and developing learning programs and curricula tailored to the needs of students in this field. The instructor will conduct occupational and competency analyses, draft program profiles, and create learning guides and manuals. They will also assess and integrate new technologies into the curriculum and assist in incorporating career guidance into the learning programs. The instructor will facilitate both school-based and work-based learning programs, which includes setting up training venues, selecting trainees, and preparing inclusive training plans. They will monitor learning in various environments, including classrooms and workshops, and employ adult learning strategies to accommodate trainees with disabilities. The role also involves preparing student assessments, maintaining linkages with employers, and applying quality assurance tools throughout the training cycle. The instructor will support initiatives related to greening and digitalization in vocational training, collaborate with other staff members, and maintain a respectful and orderly environment at the training center.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support the design and development of learning programs and curricula, including conducting occupational and competency analyses, drafting program profiles, and integrating new technologies.
• Facilitate the delivery of school-based and work-based learning programs, including setting up training venues, selecting trainees, and preparing inclusive training plans.
• Prepare formative and summative assessments, develop assessment sheets, and conduct knowledge and practice-based assessments.
• Maintain linkages with employers and TVET instructors, collect labor market information, and conduct skills needs assessments.
• Apply quality assurance tools and processes according to UNRWA's TVET Quality Assurance Framework.
• Support greening and digitalization initiatives, integrating these skills into training courses.
• Collaborate with other instructors to coordinate teaching and learning processes, maintain order and discipline, and implement co-curricular activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications:
Successful completion of full Secondary Education plus two years of post-secondary technical education or training in car body repairing and painting or a related field. Educational Background:
Candidates must have completed full secondary education and possess two years of post-secondary technical education or training in car body repairing and painting or a related field. Experience:
No prior work experience is required for this position. However, candidates are encouraged to indicate any current involvement in outside activities, such as employment, freelance work, teaching, or voluntary work, as this may be considered during the evaluation process. Languages:
English and Arabic are required for this position. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in both languages at UN Level II for reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Knowledge of French is considered an asset but is not mandatory for this role.

Additional Notes:
This position is a daily paid assignment for up to three months, with the possibility of extension based on performance and funding availability. The daily rate for this position is $25.63, and the salary may be subject to a reduced work schedule. Candidates must reside in Syria and be within commuting distance of the duty station. The agency will not facilitate work permits, and candidates must have authorization to work in Syria at the time of application. Preference will be given to registered Palestine refugees and candidates from underrepresented genders to promote gender parity.
