Job Overview:
The CHAI Associate for the COO's office will support the organization for a 6-month period, providing a unique opportunity to work closely with senior leaders and gain insights into strategic global health issues. The role involves collaboration with the Chief of Staff to the COO and staff across various levels and functions, including Finance and Human Resources. The Associate will engage in analytical and project management support, leadership meeting planning, and miscellaneous tasks to enhance the efficiency of the COO's office. This position is ideal for individuals looking to contribute to high-priority initiatives and support the strategic direction of CHAI.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Associate will be responsible for approximately 70% analytical and project management support, which includes conducting data analysis, research, and synthesis to inform strategic decision-making for CHAI leadership. They will develop structured problem-solving approaches to assess challenges, evaluate trade-offs, and recommend solutions. The role also involves supporting the design, execution, and monitoring of high-priority initiatives, creating dashboards and reports, and coordinating cross-functional projects. Additionally, the Associate will support leadership meeting planning (approximately 20% of the role), which includes planning and executing key leadership meetings, developing agendas, preparing pre-reads, and managing logistics. The remaining 10% of the role involves miscellaneous tasks such as developing internal communications and improving processes to enhance the COO's efficiency.
Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree and have at least 3-5 years of relevant experience, although those with more experience are encouraged to apply. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are required, along with the ability to collaborate remotely with team members across different geographies. Candidates should be able to operate independently in a demanding multicultural environment and manage multiple tasks effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, is essential.
