Job Overview:
The position of SECONDMENT Driver - RB Nairobi involves providing transportation services to the Head of the Regional Bureau or Liaison office. The driver is responsible for ensuring the security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security, maintenance, and condition of the official vehicle. The role requires strict adherence to defined itineraries while being flexible to make modifications for security reasons. The driver will also assist with the transportation of visitors and ensure that the vehicle is maintained in excellent working condition at all times. This position is critical in supporting the Head of RB or Liaison office in their official duties and engagements, ensuring that all transportation needs are met professionally and securely.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary driver for the Head of the Regional Bureau or Liaison office, adhering to defined itineraries unless changes are necessary for security reasons.
• Drive the Head of RB or Liaison office to scheduled professional meetings and appointments, ensuring all transport services are provided exclusively for official duties.
• Plan routes and travel schedules, considering traffic conditions and ensuring timely arrivals.
• Maintain the cleanliness and regular servicing of the official vehicle, ensuring it meets all legal requirements.
• Inform the Head of RB or Liaison office of any mechanical issues and propose solutions.
• Collect and transfer visitors from the airport to their accommodations, adapting to any changes in flight schedules.
• Ensure the security of the official vehicle at all times, conducting thorough checks before and after use.
• Deliver and collect official documents as required.
• Perform any additional duties as instructed by the hierarchy.

Required Qualifications:

• Driving qualifications, preferably from a police training school, with the ability to drive all categories of vehicles.
• A police security background or training is essential.
• A clean driving license is mandatory.
• A high degree of flexibility and a developed sense of observation to anticipate potential problems are required.
• Discretion, confidentiality, diplomacy, and tact are essential qualities for this role.

Educational Background:
Candidates must possess driving qualifications, ideally from a recognized police training institution. Additional training in security protocols is highly desirable, as the role involves significant responsibility regarding the safety of the Head of RB or Liaison office during transportation.

Experience:
A minimum of 1 year of experience in security and driving within a police or similar international organization is required. Candidates with 3 to 5 years of experience will be considered more favorably, as this level of experience is seen as an asset for the role.

Languages:
A working knowledge of English is required. Proficiency in any other official language of the organization, such as Arabic, French, or Spanish, would be considered an asset, enhancing communication capabilities within the diverse environment of INTERPOL.
