Job Overview: The Grants and Partnerships Coordinator will play a crucial role in the Mozambique country office, particularly in the context of the ongoing challenges faced by the region, including armed conflict and natural disasters. Under the supervision of the director" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Country Director, the Coordinator will oversee all donor-related activities and the preparation of donor documents to maintain strong relationships with donors and ensure compliance with reporting deadlines. This position requires a proactive approach to developing the mission strategy in collaboration with the Country Representative, managing grants effectively, and providing guidance and training to field teams on donor documentation and internal reporting. The Coordinator will also be responsible for organizing the production and follow-up of necessary documents for both donors and internal monitoring, ensuring that all reporting is timely and meets the required standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Contribute to the development of the mission strategy in collaboration with the Country Representative.
Manage grants and reporting processes to ensure compliance with donor requirements.
Advise and train field teams on the preparation of donor documents and internal reporting.
Organize the production and follow-up of documents for donors and internal monitoring.
Maintain strong relationships with donors and partners, ensuring effective communication and reporting.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of grant management processes and make recommendations for improvements.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment of strategies and objectives.
Participate in meetings and represent ACF in relevant forums and discussions related to grants and partnerships.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in humanities, social sciences, or a related field. A significant experience in grants management and reporting is essential, along with 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar role within an NGO, either in the field or at headquarters. Proven skills in copywriting and editing reports, articles, and presentations are required, as well as the ability to interpret and apply donor regulations effectively. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment are also necessary for this role.
Educational Background: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant fields such as humanities, social sciences, or other related disciplines is required for this position. This educational background will provide the necessary foundation for understanding the complexities of humanitarian work and the skills needed for effective grants management and reporting.
Experience: The position requires candidates to have 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in grants management and reporting within an NGO context. This experience should include familiarity with donor regulations and the ability to manage relationships with various stakeholders effectively. Candidates should also demonstrate a history of successful project management and reporting in challenging environments.
Languages: Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is mandatory for this position. Proficiency in Portuguese or Spanish is considered a valuable asset, enhancing communication with local partners and stakeholders.
Additional Notes: This position offers a fixed-term contract under French legislation for 12 months, with a monthly gross salary ranging from €2597 to €2968, depending on experience. Additional benefits include reimbursement of pension insurance for non-French citizens at 16% of the gross monthly salary, an annual salary increase of 6% after each 12 months of continuous service, and a monthly per diem and living allowance of €627.62 net. The position also includes a monthly country allowance of €150, a child allowance of €1500 per year per child, and coverage for transportation and accommodation costs. Medical coverage is provided, covering 100% of health and repatriation insurance fees for the employee and dependents. Employees are entitled to 25 days of paid leave per year, 20 rest and recuperation days, and reimbursement for airfare to a chosen break destination.
