Job Overview:

This position focuses on supporting the global Connected Rivers of Resilience Initiative (CRRI), which aims to create a world where connected rivers are valued, protected, and restored for the benefit of both people and nature. The officer will facilitate communication among teams, lead technical analyses for various programs and projects, manage partnerships, and oversee project development, management, and reporting. The role also involves conducting knowledge management and monitoring and evaluation to ensure the effectiveness of initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of the Sr Program Officer include leading report writing, proposal development, and resource mobilization efforts with both public and private sector partners. The officer will conduct technical assessments to support project and program development, focusing on quantifying the hydrologic benefits of freshwater protection and restoration. Additionally, the officer will liaise with various WWF teams and external partners to gather insights related to freshwater protection mechanisms and resilience strategies. Responsibilities also include leading technical assessments, map-making, knowledge management, and reporting, as well as co-leading communications and outreach efforts for the CRRI. The officer will engage with WWF offices and other teams to connect CRR with other critical WWF priorities, conduct research, and monitor new technical information and global trends related to freshwater conservation. Regular interaction with representatives from various organizations and agencies will be necessary to ensure successful project delivery and advance the CRRI strategy.

Required Qualifications:
