Job Overview:
The Analyst position at EBRD is integral to the project cycle, encompassing project origination, structuring, execution, implementation, and monitoring. The Analyst is expected to take on responsibilities assigned by the operation leader or senior project team members, which include conducting thorough due diligence, ensuring compliance with EBRD policies, and managing donor-funded technical cooperation and investment grants. The role emphasizes collaboration within a project team, where the Analyst will contribute to structuring and monitoring debt and equity transactions, particularly those involving grants and donor funding. The Analyst will also engage in research, data gathering, credit analysis, and financial modeling to support project objectives and donor requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Analyst's duties include working as part of a project team on transactions involving donor funding, conducting comprehensive research and analysis of market information and financial performance data, and evaluating potential risks associated with proposed projects. Responsibilities also involve assisting in the design and processing of technical cooperation assistance, preparing terms of reference, and ensuring timely communication with internal units, clients, and stakeholders. The Analyst will monitor project implementation, compliance with agreements, and financial performance, preparing draft monitoring reports and ensuring adherence to donor requirements. The role is designed to allow the Analyst to progressively take on more complex tasks and responsibilities as they gain experience.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree, with a Master's degree preferred or equivalent experience in relevant fields. Professional qualifications such as ACA, CFA, ACCA, or CIMA are desirable. Strong quantitative and numerical skills are essential, along with the ability to interpret financial information and utilize financial models. Proficiency in credit analysis and understanding of accounting principles are critical. Candidates should also demonstrate computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office and financial modeling software, and possess excellent written and oral communication skills in English. A good command of the local language is advantageous.

Educational Background:
The position requires a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a preference for candidates holding a Master's degree or equivalent experience. Professional qualifications in finance or accounting, such as ACA, CFA, ACCA, or CIMA, are highly regarded and can enhance a candidate's profile.

Experience:
Candidates should have relevant experience in the financial industry, ideally from investment or commercial banks, public institutions, development banks, or corporations closely associated with EBRD operations. Experience in auditing or financial consulting firms operating to international standards is also beneficial. Familiarity with international donor institutions and experience in infrastructure, environmental, and energy projects are desirable, as is exposure to the strategic objectives of funding agencies active in the region.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, with excellent written and oral communication skills required. A good command of the local language is considered an advantage, enhancing the candidate's ability to engage with local stakeholders and clients.
