Job Overview:
The Field Coordinator serves as the delegated director" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Country Director for a specific region in South Sudan where Solidarités International operates. This role involves proposing a regional strategy that aligns with the geopolitical and humanitarian context and ensuring its implementation once validated. The Field Coordinator is responsible for overseeing project execution in accordance with the organization's charter and internal procedures, mobilizing necessary resources, and managing team security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security within the assigned zone. The position also requires close collaboration with the Country Director and represents SI in the region. The challenges faced include access constraints during the rainy season, external engagement, and the need for capacity building within the team. Initial priorities for the first few months include establishing SI's positioning in the area, accelerating program implementation, and closely monitoring daily worker programming.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in humanitarian/development studies, social sciences, management, or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of experience in the humanitarian sector is required, with at least 0-2 years in a similar position. Strong technical skills in team management, problem-solving, and the ability to work in a high-pressure environment are essential. Candidates should also have good representational skills and a solid understanding of security management and humanitarian issues.
Educational Background:
A Master’s degree in a relevant field such as humanitarian/development studies, social sciences, or management is required for this position. This educational background is crucial for understanding the complexities of humanitarian work and effectively managing programs in challenging environments.
Experience:
Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the humanitarian sector, with at least 0-2 years in a similar role. This experience is vital for navigating the challenges of working in a humanitarian context, particularly in regions affected by conflict and natural disasters.
Languages:
Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is mandatory for this position. Proficiency in Arabic is considered an asset, as it may facilitate communication with local communities and stakeholders.
Additional Notes:
The position is a salaried role with a starting salary of EUR 3080 gross per month, which includes a base salary and an annual leave allowance. Additionally, a monthly per diem of USD 700 is provided. SI covers accommodation costs and travel expenses for expatriates. The contract duration is 9 months, with breaks implemented at a rate of 7 working days every three months, along with a USD 850 break allowance. Expatriates are also provided with a comprehensive insurance package covering healthcare expenses and essential vaccinations. Living conditions in Renk include access to an office-guesthouse, though city electricity is sporadic, and drinking water is sourced from SI's facilities.
