Job Overview:
The Grants Specialist position at DRC is a critical role within the organization, primarily responsible for managing the grants portfolio for the Venezuela Country Office (CO). This position is essential for ensuring compliance with donor regulations and DRC's internal policies. The Grants Specialist will support the development of high-quality proposals, facilitate timely reporting, and maintain accountability to donors. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Grants Specialist will have a comprehensive set of responsibilities that include:

• Grants Management: Overseeing contract management in collaboration with the Grants Management Manager, ensuring high-quality administration of grants.
• Monitoring and Compliance: Regularly monitoring the grants portfolio, ensuring compliance with donor regulations, and troubleshooting any identified gaps.
• Reporting: Coordinating the preparation of project reports in line with donor requirements and supporting the development of proposals.
• Communication: Maintaining active communication with donors and internal stakeholders, ensuring timely responses and high-quality feedback.
• Training: Providing training to grants and program teams on proposal development and reporting processes.
• Coordination: Facilitating meetings related to grant management, including kickoff, review, and closing meetings.
• Documentation: Ensuring that all grants management documentation is up-to-date and accurately reflects the status of grants.
• Ad-hoc Tasks: Supporting the Grants Management Manager with various tasks as needed, including the preparation of factsheets and capacity statements.
• Promoting Diversity: Actively promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within the workplace and ensuring respect for all employees.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates for the Grants Specialist position must possess a range of qualifications, including:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in grants management, preferably within an international NGO or donor-funded organization.
• Knowledge and experience in multiple sectors, including protection, food security, and livelihood.

• Solid experience in compiling donor proposals and reports, particularly with UN donors and other funding bodies.
• A strong understanding of donor rules and regulations.

Educational Background:
The educational background required for the Grants Specialist position includes a university degree in Social Sciences, International Development, or a related field. Experience:
The position requires at least 3 years of relevant experience in grants management.
