Job Overview: The Logistics and Procurement Technical Assistant position is crucial for supporting the effective implementation of logistics operations within the NRC's framework. Duties and Responsibilities: The Logistics and Procurement Technical Assistant will have a wide range of duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to:
Fleet Management: Overseeing the management of vehicles and generators, ensuring compliance with NRC standard practices, maintaining vehicle logbooks, and submitting monthly reports.
Asset Management: Assisting in the management of assets and inventory, ensuring proper documentation, and maintaining records in accordance with NRC policies.
Warehouse Management: Supporting the receipt, handling, storage, and reporting of goods in the NRC warehouse, managing casual laborers, and ensuring the security" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">security and maintenance of warehouse facilities.
Procurement Support: Assisting in procurement processes by managing purchase requisitions, sourcing bids and quotations, and maintaining accurate procurement documentation.
Reporting: Preparing and developing status reports as required by management and ensuring proper filing of all support documents.
Continuous Improvement: Promoting and sharing ideas for improving logistics and procurement functions, and identifying protection needs and gaps in service delivery.
Collaboration: Liaising with internal departments and vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods and services, and participating in procurement planning to support program continuity.
Required Qualifications: Candidates for the Logistics and Procurement Technical Assistant position should possess a range of qualifications, including:
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
Proficiency in computer and IT systems, particularly Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word).
Knowledge of supply chain management, inventory and asset management, and warehouse operations.
Familiarity with NRC policies and procedures related to logistics and procurement.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with various stakeholders.
Educational Background: A relevant educational background is essential for this position. Candidates should ideally have a degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field. Additional certifications in procurement or logistics management would be advantageous and demonstrate a commitment to professional development in this area.
Experience: The position requires candidates to have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in logistics and procurement roles, preferably within a humanitarian or non-profit organization. Languages: Fluency in Persian (Farsi) is mandatory for this position, as it is essential for effective communication within the local context.
