Job Overview: The Communications Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting FAO Oman by effectively communicating its programs, activities, results, partnerships, and key messages to relevant stakeholders and the wider public. Duties and Responsibilities: The Communications Assistant will have a diverse set of responsibilities, including: supporting the implementation of FAO Oman’s communication activities and contributing to communication workplans; collecting and compiling relevant information, photographs, videos, stories, and success stories from FAO projects; assisting in drafting, editing, and adapting communication products such as news items, briefs, presentations, newsletters, infographics, and digital materials; managing FAO Oman’s official social media platforms by preparing and scheduling content; monitoring social media engagement and compiling statistics; preparing communication content in both Arabic and English; supporting visibility activities related to partnerships; assisting in awareness-raising campaigns and events; uploading communication materials to the Corporate Publication Workflow System; attending meetings and participating in events for communication coverage; liaising with communication and technical focal points for input and review; ensuring compliance with FAO corporate communication standards; and performing any other related duties as required.
