Job Overview: The Programme Associate plays a crucial role in supporting the implementation of UNFPA's country programme by providing operational, coordination, and administrative support. Duties and Responsibilities: The Programme Associate will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including but not limited to: assisting in the preparation of project documents and workplans; supporting the routine implementation of assigned projects; tracking the delivery of activities and project inputs; collecting and organizing data on programme progress; preparing status reports and progress updates; organizing monitoring visits and review meetings; maintaining programme data and records in corporate systems; supporting data verification and consistency checks; assisting in maintaining documentation related to programme activities; coordinating with implementing partners; providing logistical support for meetings and training; and documenting lessons learned and best practices. The role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a completed Secondary Level Education as a minimum requirement, with a first-level university degree being desirable. Additionally, a minimum of six years of relevant experience in programme management, monitoring, and compliance is required, preferably within UN agencies or international organizations. Strong knowledge of programme planning, monitoring, reporting, and quality assurance processes is essential, along with an understanding of compliance frameworks and accountability standards. Candidates should demonstrate proven analytical and problem-solving skills, effective communication abilities, and proficiency in standard office software and financial management systems.
