To support this expansion, UNHCR Thailand is seeking a dedicated fundraising professional to enhance donor engagement and transition mid-value donors to major donor status.
Job Overview: The Senior PSP Assistant (Middle Donor) will play a pivotal role in the UNHCR's fundraising efforts by focusing on cultivating and maintaining relationships with mid-value donors who contribute between $1,000 and $10,000 annually. This position requires a proactive and results-oriented individual who can develop and execute a comprehensive strategy aimed at increasing revenue and donor retention. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Donor Development and Retention team to identify, engage, and steward mid-value donors, ultimately aiming to achieve a total income target of $300,00
The role involves personalized communication with donors through various integrated channels, including direct mail, telemarketing, email, SMS, and social media, as well as organizing fundraising events and recognition programs. Additionally, the assistant will monitor and analyze donor giving trends, ensuring accurate reporting and adherence to data integrity standards. This position is essential for the ongoing success and growth of the mid-value donor program within UNHCR Thailand.
Duties and Responsibilities: The Senior PSP Assistant (Middle Donor) will be responsible for a range of duties, including:
Developing and executing a comprehensive mid-value donor strategy to enhance revenue and donor retention.
Cultivating a portfolio of mid-value donors contributing between $1,000 and $10,000 annually.
Identifying potential mid-value donors, including those giving $500-$999, and migrating them into the middle donor program pipeline.
Coordinating with the Private Partnerships & Philanthropy (PPH) team to identify potential major donors from the mid-value donor pool.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with mid-value donors through personalized communications across various channels.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to create compelling fundraising campaigns and materials tailored to mid-value donors.
Monitoring and analyzing mid-value donor giving trends, providing regular reports and recommendations to the management team.
Ensuring accurate and timely recording of donor information in the database, adhering to data integrity standards.
Coordinating with the Database and CRM focal point for relevant reporting and analysis of donor development activities. 1
Tracking KPIs and key metrics of the middle donor program against year-over-year targets and reporting performance to PSP Thailand. 1
Performing other duties as required to support the overall objectives of the organization.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a high school diploma or a Bachelor’s degree in mass communication, Liberal Arts, Advertising, Marketing, or related fields. Additionally, a minimum of 2 years of working experience is required for those with a high school diploma, or 1 year of experience for candidates with a Bachelor’s degree or higher. Experience in donor or customer development, marketing, and communications is essential. Proven experience in providing functional guidance to donor care or customer service teams is desirable, as is experience in private sector fundraising or direct marketing in a business-to-consumer environment. Strong copywriting, editing, and communication skills are necessary for developing donor retention communications and engaging with donors effectively.
Educational Background: The educational background required for this position includes the completion of a high school diploma or a Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields such as mass communication, Liberal Arts, Advertising, Marketing, or similar disciplines. This educational foundation is crucial for understanding the principles of communication and marketing that will be applied in the role.
Experience: The position requires a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience for candidates with a high school diploma, or at least 1 year of experience for those holding a Bachelor’s degree or higher. This experience should be in donor or customer development, marketing, or communications, with a focus on private sector fundraising or direct marketing. Candidates should also have a proven track record of providing guidance to donor care or customer service teams, demonstrating their ability to manage relationships and drive fundraising efforts effectively.
Languages: Proficiency in written and spoken Thai and English is mandatory for this position. Strong communication skills in both languages are essential for engaging with donors and stakeholders effectively. Additional language skills may be considered an asset but are not required.
