Job Overview: The Project Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting the ESCWA Technology Centre's initiatives, particularly in enhancing the visibility and impact of the Digital Entrepreneurship Platform for the Arab Region (DEPAR). This position involves managing content, engaging with stakeholders, and coordinating logistics for the upcoming Arab SMEs Summit (ASMES) 202
The coordinator will be responsible for building a community of entrepreneurs, SMEs, and individuals with disabilities, ensuring that DEPAR serves as a vital resource for knowledge sharing and program delivery. The role requires a proactive approach to outreach and engagement, as well as a commitment to inclusivity and accessibility in all activities related to the DEPAR platform and the ASMES event.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage and continuously update high-quality bilingual content on DEPAR, ensuring that resources are accessible and relevant to persons with disabilities (PwDs).
Support the organization and quality assurance of DEPAR content, ensuring materials are accurate, searchable, and user-oriented.
Lead stakeholder outreach and community engagement efforts, focusing on entrepreneurs, SMEs, and organizations that support PwDs.
Contribute to the completion of the 'Persons with Disability Dashboard & Community' project, ensuring timely delivery of activities and coordination.
Assist in planning and executing ASMES 2026, including logistics, documentation, and ensuring meaningful participation of PwDs.
Provide logistical and administrative support for ETC events, ensuring accessibility for participants with disabilities.
Collect feedback from stakeholders and users to enhance DEPAR and support ETC initiatives aimed at promoting entrepreneurship and digital inclusion for PwDs.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Project Management, Engineering, Information Technology, Economics, or a related field relevant to digital platforms and entrepreneurship. A minimum of 3 years of practical experience in project coordination, program administration, or management assistance is required. Candidates should demonstrate experience in managing digital platforms, organizing datasets, and supporting knowledge management activities. Strong analytical, research, and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to manage tasks and resources effectively. Attention to detail and adaptability to changing environments are also important qualifications for this role.
Educational Background: The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Project Management, Engineering, Information Technology, or Economics.
