Job Overview:
The UNCTAD internship-programme" style="border-bottom: 1px dotted #007bff !important;">Internship Programme offers a unique opportunity for students and recent graduates to gain practical experience in the field of international trade and development. Interns are expected to work full-time, five days a week, for a duration of three months, either in-person in Geneva or remotely. The internship is unpaid, and interns are responsible for covering their own travel, accommodation, medical insurance, and living expenses. Interns will work under the guidance of the Chiefs of the Civil Society Outreach (CSO) and Globalization and Development Strategies (GLS) divisions, engaging in activities that enhance cooperation and outreach to civil society organizations, parliamentarians, and member states. This role is crucial for supporting UNCTAD's mission to strengthen working relations with civil society actors and member states in the intergovernmental machinery.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Interns will assist in various tasks, including the preparation and organization of meetings related to civil society organizations and GLS, drafting communications and outreach materials, updating databases, attending meetings, and preparing notes and reports. Specific duties include assisting in the logistical arrangements for meetings, drafting responses to inquiries, preparing background materials for meetings, and ensuring effective communication with stakeholders. Interns are also expected to adhere to UN regulations and maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information. They must respect the impartiality of the UN and refrain from any conduct that could adversely reflect on the organization.

Required Qualifications:
No prior work experience is required for this internship. However, applicants should have a field of study closely related to the internship they are applying for. Candidates must be students in their final year of a bachelor's degree, or enrolled in a master's or Ph.D. program, or have completed such programs. The internship is designed for individuals who are eager to learn and contribute to the UN's mission, and who possess relevant academic knowledge and skills that can benefit the organization during their internship.

Educational Background:
Candidates must be enrolled in or have completed a degree program relevant to the internship. This includes students in their final year of a bachelor's degree, master's, or Ph.D. programs. Proof of enrollment or completion of the degree must be provided with the application. The educational background should ideally align with the functions of the internship, particularly in areas related to international relations, trade, development, or public policy.

Experience:
While no professional work experience is required, candidates should demonstrate relevant academic training or skills that would contribute to the internship. This could include coursework, projects, or volunteer experiences that align with the responsibilities of the internship. Languages:
