Job Overview:
The Project Coordinator will work under the direct supervision of the National Projects Officer and in close coordination with the Chief of Mission. This role is crucial for coordinating assigned project activities in accordance with IOM policies, procedures, and donor requirements. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for planning, implementing, monitoring, and reporting on project activities. This includes compiling and analyzing data on specific project topics, monitoring budget implementation, and ensuring compliance with donor visibility rules. The position requires effective communication and coordination with various stakeholders, including local authorities, partners, and other organizations, to ensure the successful execution of project objectives. The Project Coordinator will also be involved in drafting reports, organizing meetings and training sessions, and providing guidance to other staff members.

Educational Background:
Candidates must possess either a school diploma with six years of relevant experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, or Law from an accredited academic institution, along with four years of relevant professional experience.
Experience:
The position requires candidates to have a significant level of experience, specifically in liaising with governmental authorities and working with vulnerable populations such as migrants and refugees. Experience in international humanitarian organizations and familiarity with EU-funded projects is highly desirable.
Languages:
Fluency in English and Montenegrin is required, both oral and written. Proficiency in additional languages may be considered an asset but is not mandatory.
Additional Notes:
This position is subject to local recruitment, and only candidates who are nationals of Montenegro or hold a valid residence and work permit for Montenegro will be considered. The appointment is contingent upon funding confirmation and the candidate's medical fitness for appointment. - Assisting in the planning, coordination, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of project activities.
- Compiling, summarizing, analyzing, and presenting information/data on specific project topics.
- Monitoring budget implementation and proposing necessary adjustments.
- Acting as the focal point for administrative coordination of project implementation, liaising with various organizational units and external parties.
- Implementing all project activities in line with project instructions and IOM policies.
- Coordinating visibility activities in accordance with donor requirements.
- Drafting correspondence, briefing notes, and other documentation related to project issues.
- Preparing narrative and financial reports for donors and ensuring timely submission.
- Organizing meetings, workshops, and training sessions. 1
- Responding to complex information requests and maintaining project files/records. 1
- Participating in meetings and conferences, maintaining effective liaison with stakeholders. 1
- Providing guidance and training to other staff members and potentially supervising them. 1
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
