The Young Professional Officer (Economist) position is situated within the Markets and Trade Division (EST) at FAO headquarters in Rome, Italy. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Young Professional Officer (Economist) will be responsible for a range of duties, including but not limited to: analyzing technical, social, economic, environmental, and technological information relevant to agricultural commodity markets; maintaining and updating databases and web pages; providing technical support to various projects; collaborating in the development of training tools and materials; organizing workshops and seminars; participating in meetings, consultations, and conferences; supporting the development and quality assurance of databases and indicators on agricultural commodity markets; conducting economic and quantitative analyses on price dynamics and trade-related developments; preparing analytical outputs such as reports and policy briefs; monitoring market developments and assessing emerging issues; and contributing to capacity development activities related to agricultural commodity markets.

Required Qualifications:
