Job Overview:
The Business Innovation Consultant position at WFP is designed to support the Business Innovation Unit (BIU) and the UN Advisory Alliance (UNAA) in managing change and promoting innovation within the organization. The consultant will be involved in executing business innovation projects that align with WFP's strategic goals, particularly in response to the increasing demand for humanitarian assistance. The role requires collaboration with senior leadership to prioritize key organizational initiatives and provide analytical and project management support. The consultant will also engage in UN Reform initiatives, contributing to the effectiveness and efficiency of service delivery across the UN system. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Business Innovation Consultant will be responsible for executing various business innovation projects, which include but are not limited to: supporting the delivery of project workstreams under guidance, collaborating with senior leadership on prioritization of key initiatives, providing analytical and project management support, coordinating with initiative owners to drive implementation, and contributing to UN Reform initiatives. The consultant will also engage in knowledge management reviews, share best practices, and support additional requests as needed. Specific deliverables may include supporting WFP/UN System Senior Leadership, exploring benefits for potential global/local collaboration with sister agencies, and conducting internal analyses on service delivery effectiveness. The consultant will be expected to manage competing priorities, work on tight deadlines, and maintain a collaborative spirit while liaising with diverse stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a degree in business, economics, or engineering, with a preference for those with relevant educational backgrounds. The position requires about 2 years of progressively responsible experience in business or international relations, with at least 2 years in management consulting or innovative finance. Candidates should demonstrate strong analytical abilities, both quantitative and qualitative, and have experience with optimization processes in various operational areas. A collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams are essential, along with strong time management skills and self-motivation to achieve organizational goals.

Educational Background:
The ideal candidate should have a degree in business, economics, or engineering. This educational background is crucial for understanding the complexities of business innovation and management consulting within the humanitarian context.
