Job Overview:
The position at UNFPA in Tokyo involves a range of responsibilities aimed at supporting the organization's mission to enhance reproductive health and rights. The selected candidate will be expected to engage in program planning, implementation, and monitoring, ensuring that the initiatives align with UNFPA's strategic goals. This role requires collaboration with various stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and community organizations, to promote awareness and access to reproductive health services. The candidate will also be responsible for data collection and analysis to inform policy decisions and program improvements. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement programs related to reproductive health and rights in collaboration with local partners.

• Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, making adjustments as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
• Facilitate training sessions and workshops for stakeholders to enhance their capacity in reproductive health service delivery.
• Advocate for policies that support reproductive health and rights at local, national, and regional levels.
• Prepare reports and presentations to communicate program progress and impact to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with other UN agencies and organizations to align efforts and share best practices.
• Engage in resource mobilization efforts to secure funding for reproductive health initiatives.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess strong analytical and communication skills, with a proven ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment. A deep understanding of reproductive health issues and the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders are essential. Proficiency in project management and experience in program evaluation are highly desirable. Candidates should also demonstrate a commitment to gender equality and women's empowerment, as well as the ability to advocate effectively for reproductive health rights.

Educational Background:
A minimum of a bachelor's degree in public health, social sciences, international development, or a related field is required. A master's degree in a relevant discipline is preferred and may be advantageous for candidates seeking to stand out in the selection process.

Experience:
Candidates should have at least 3-5 years of professional experience in program management, particularly in the field of reproductive health or related areas. Experience working with international organizations, NGOs, or government agencies is highly valued. Familiarity with UNFPA's mission and objectives will be considered an asset.

Languages:
Fluency in English is mandatory, and proficiency in Japanese is highly desirable. Knowledge of additional languages, particularly those relevant to the region, will be considered a plus and may enhance the candidate's profile.

Additional Notes:
This position is full-time and may involve occasional travel within Japan and to other countries as required. The contract duration is typically for one year, with the possibility of extension based on performance and funding availability.
