Sr. Project Associate - Case Management

Job Overview:
The Sr. Project Associate - Case Management position is designed for individuals who are passionate about supporting vulnerable populations through effective case management practices. The role involves overseeing the implementation of case management processes, ensuring that beneficiaries receive the necessary support and services tailored to their individual needs. The associate will work closely with various stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and community organizations, to facilitate access to resources and services. The position requires a strong understanding of migration issues, as well as the ability to manage complex cases involving diverse populations. The associate will also be responsible for monitoring and evaluating case management activities to ensure compliance with IOM standards and best practices.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversee the implementation of case management processes, ensuring adherence to IOM guidelines and standards.
• Conduct assessments of beneficiaries' needs and develop individualized case plans.
• Coordinate with service providers to facilitate access to essential services for beneficiaries.
• Monitor and evaluate case management activities, providing feedback and recommendations for improvement.
• Maintain accurate and confidential case files and documentation.
• Provide training and support to case management staff and volunteers.
• Collaborate with other IOM units and external partners to enhance service delivery.
• Participate in meetings and workshops to represent IOM's case management initiatives.
• Prepare reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders. 1
• Stay informed about current trends and best practices in case management and migration.

Required Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of migration issues and the challenges faced by vulnerable populations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
• Proven ability to manage complex cases and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in case management software and tools.

Educational Background:
A bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, international relations, or a related field is required. A master's degree in a relevant discipline is preferred and may be considered an asset for the position.

Experience:
A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in case management, social services, or a related field is required. Experience working with migrants or refugees is highly desirable. Familiarity with IOM's policies and procedures is an advantage.

Languages:
Fluency in Spanish is mandatory, and proficiency in English is highly desirable. Knowledge of additional languages relevant to the local context is a plus.

Additional Notes:
This position is full-time and may require occasional travel within the country. The contract duration is subject to funding availability and organizational needs.
