Job Overview: The Senior Project Assistant for Labour Migration will play a crucial role in supporting the implementation of projects related to labour migration. This position requires a proactive individual who can assist in the coordination, monitoring, and evaluation of project activities. The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with various stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and the private sector, to ensure that project objectives are met. The role involves providing administrative support, preparing reports, and facilitating communication among project partners. Additionally, the Senior Project Assistant will contribute to the development of project proposals and assist in the organization of workshops and training sessions aimed at enhancing the capacity of stakeholders in managing labour migration effectively.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in the planning, implementation, and monitoring of labour migration projects, ensuring adherence to IOM policies and procedures.
Coordinate with project partners and stakeholders to facilitate project activities and ensure effective communication.
Prepare and maintain project documentation, including reports, meeting minutes, and correspondence.
Conduct research and analysis on labour migration trends and issues to inform project development and implementation.
Organize and facilitate workshops, training sessions, and meetings related to labour migration.
Support the development of project proposals and funding applications.
Assist in the preparation of financial reports and budgets related to project activities.
Experience: A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in project management, preferably in the field of migration or human resources. Experience working with international organizations or NGOs is highly desirable.
Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory. Knowledge of Malay or other languages spoken in Malaysia would be an advantage.
Additional Notes: This position is full-time and based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The contract duration is subject to funding availability and organizational needs. The IOM encourages applications from qualified candidates regardless of nationality.
