Job Overview: The Global Chief of Party I (COP I) will play a pivotal role in leading a five-year multi-country project aimed at delivering integrated health services, including HIV, tuberculosis, maternal and child health, malaria, and nutrition. This position is crucial for ensuring that the project meets its objectives through effective management and leadership. The COP I will oversee the project’s implementation, ensuring that it aligns with donor expectations and adheres to CRS program quality standards. The role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, including government entities, community organizations, and donor representatives, to facilitate the transition of project activities to national and sub-national levels. Duties and Responsibilities: The COP I will lead all aspects of project development, implementation, management, and evaluation. The COP I will manage relationships with consortium partners, organize planning workshops, and oversee the recruitment and development of senior staff. Risk management is a critical aspect of this role, requiring the COP I to monitor national and regional issues that may impact programming and staff safety. The COP I will also be responsible for developing communication strategies that align with donor branding requirements and ensuring a safe environment for staff to share ideas and solutions. Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in health systems strengthening, international development, international relations, or a relevant technical area, with a Master’s degree preferred. A minimum of 8 years of relevant management and technical experience is required, including at least 5 years of experience managing donor funds and multi-country grants. Strong knowledge and experience in budget management are essential, along with at least 2 years of staff management experience conducive to a learning environment. Experience in coaching senior program staff is also necessary. Preferred qualifications include recognized leadership in the sector, demonstrated experience in successful program management, and the ability to represent the organization at high levels.
